Araki Kanpo (1831 - 1915)
Born in Edo.
Studied painting under Araki Kankai.
Later, became his adopted son.
Enjoyed Yamanouchi Yodo (=Top of Tosa Domain)'s favor and became an official painter of the domain.
After the Meiji Restoration, he became a teacher of the Tokyo School of Fine Arts.
