Otake (Odake) Chikuha (1878 - 1936) |
| Born in Niigata Prefecture. His given name is Somekichi. Younger brother of Otake Etsudo, older brother of Otake Kokkan. Chikuha studied painting under Sasada Unseki, Kawabata Gyokusho and Kobori Tomoto. Chikuha was accepted for the Bunten Exhibitions for three times. ("Takekari" at the 3rd exhibition in 1909, "Otozure" at the 4th and "Mizu" at the 5th.) In 1919, he established the painting organization The "Hakka-Sha". |
